HUD-VA Supportive Housing Program

The HUD-VA Supportive Housing Program (HUD-VASH) is a collaborative program between the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the VA which combines HUD housing vouchers with VA services in order to help Veterans who are homeless. It helps them and their families find and sustain permanent housing with services such as rental assistance vouchers. In combination, the VA Case Managers can also help the Veterans obtain other support services such as health care and mental health treatmenent in order to assist them with recovery and with their ability to maintain housing.


In order to qualify, Veterans must be VA Health Care eligible, homeless, and participate in case management services. For NWA, the HUD-VASH supervisor is Amy Cash. She can be contacted at:
