The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs operates two State Veterans Homes. One is located in Fayetteville in NWA, the other is located in North Little Rock. Both veterans homes require the veteran to be honorably discharged and have a medical need for nursing home placement. The Veteran's Home in Fayetteville is a VA Certified Medicaid/Medicare skilled nursing facility with superb short term rehab full Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services. The home has earned two quality awards within the past year. They welcome veterans, veteran spouses (or widowed) and parents who lost a child in combat for admission. Outside of COVID they also love to have veterans volunteering.
